Lecture in the Unitarian Church
We marked our inaugural event with a lecture from the art historian Prof. Dr Michael Barclay at the magnificent, historic Unitarian Church. Michael lectured extensively on Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele and the explosion of creativity that became Vienna’s Modern Movement. The International Exhibition of 1900 forged important links with Liverpool and Glasgow through the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Margaret Macdonald, Herbert McNair and Francis Macdonald.
