Visit to the Cathedral and talk by Canon Val Jackson MBE, Archivist
We have probably all visited at some stage Britain’s biggest Cathedral and the largest Anglican Cathedral in Europe but this is an opportunity to have an in-depth guided tour. We will meet outside the Cathedral Shop at 10.30 am where our guide will begin the tour. Following this we will move to the Concert Room for refreshments followed by a talk by Canon Val Jackson MBE, Archivist to the Cathedral.
The Mezzanine Café and Welsford Bistro will be open for further refreshments if you chose to stay on at the cathedral. There will also be the opportunity of the Tower Experience, tickets for which may be purchased at the Cathedral Shop. This involves climbing 108 steps after 2 elevator rides! However, because of the Covid restrictions, numbers in the elevators are severely limited.
At midday, prayers are said and at 12.05 the Eucharist will take place in which members are welcome to join if they wish.
At Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, St James’ Mount, Liverpool L1 7AZ. Directions and car parking details will be sent with your ticket.
