A curator led tour of the exhibition

This major exhibition is the first to tell the story of a movement that defined sports culture of the 1970s, 80s and 90s.  It combines fashion, football and art as told from the terraces.  It celebrates a scene that has created its own dynamic art forms and is now credited with the mass popularisation of sportswear as leisurewear - a world wide phenomenon.  With the recent success of England’s Lionesses we felt it would be a truly different  experience and fascinating.

We met in the foyer of the Walker Art Gallery for a tour of this exhibition by Pauline Rushton, the Curator.
