We are delighted to welcome Alex Beard CBE.

Alex has been CEO of the Royal Opera House since 2013. During his tenure the ROH has completed the “open up” project, a major Front of House transformation including a new world class theatre for chamber opera and ballet and extending its digital presence through national learning programmes and streaming. More recently Alex has led the ROH through the pandemic challenge. Prior to ROH Alex spent 18 years at the Tate where he worked closely with Nicholas Serota in the creation of Tate Modern while also leading the business operations of the four Tate galleries. He is a fellow of Kings College London.

He talked to us on the subject of leading change in the arts from Museums to Opera Houses.
